Cigar Snob: Top On-Line Cigar Tweeples.

Cigar Snob Magazine’s “Top Online Cigar Tweeples” for March/April 2017 is always interesting to see who’s got more followers than @CigarHerf. 🙂

Where did they go?
While reviewing the rankings, I noticed status was given to “The Smoking Hot Cigar Chick” @CigarChick.
She and I used to chat a bit, but then she was gone.
Looking at her Twitter Account, she hasn’t tweeted anything since February 2, 2015.

@CigarEvaluations history tells much the same story: Last Tweet was on July 6, 2016.

Let’s see how Cigar Tweeps play with others.
This led me to feel a bit of sympathy to those Cigar people who are really there for their followers and make Twitter a community rather than a personal platform or an advertising vehicle.

Dialogue vs Monologue
I decided to do a bit of research to discover which Cigar Accounts on the Cigar Snob Tweeps list are truly engaged with their followers – seeing the platform as a dialogue.
Then I compared that to which accounts that basically post only, no back & forth engagement, therefore using Twitter as a monologue.
Also checked the history to determine which accounts have posted recently vs those that haven’t maintained their accounts. No point in giving accolades to a #Cigar account whose needle hasn’t moved in months.

Here’s a rounded-up list of Cigar Tweeps listed as of 7am April 11, 2017.
There can be quite a difference between those who see their role on Twitter as a Dialogue vs a Monologue.

Overall, there is reasonable engagement by the Tweeples Cigar Snob Magazine recognized on its list.
But when you check each accounts “Followers” list, the number of clearly identifiable “Cigar” people varies widely.

It would be prudent for all the accounts on the Cigar Snob Tweeples-list to follow the shining examples of Robusto Cigar Babe, Stogie Boys & Tom Ufer.
These accounts are on the right track by keeping the conversations going via regularly engaging their followers & being courteous enough to follow back at an equal rate.
